In 2024 in partnership with the University Children’s Hospital of Kraków (UCH), Project HOPE Polska supported the modernization of the hospital’s Transfusion Medicine Department and helped equip the Hematopoietic (Blood) Cell Transplantation and Physiotherapy units with essential devices — including infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and physiotherapy equipment — improving safety and quality of care for children requiring complex treatments.
Previously to support the refugees from Ukraine in 2022 provided hospital a grant to help establish a Ukrainian children’s ward. Between May 2022 and April 2023, UCH treated 7,567 Ukrainian refugee children across oncology and hematology, general surgery and emergencies, physiotherapy, and outpatient services.
